60-second videos. Shot at a cinematic 24 frames-per-second. Capturing corners of everyday life.
The backstory.
I’m sitting in my parked car. Grocery store parking lot. Sunday morning. Branch circles with the breeze outside my car window. Bursts of wind provide the soundtrack. Side mirror reflects an elderly woman shuffling over the pavement, head down, moving inch-by-inch to her car. She’s lived long. So many stories to tell. I see a moment in time. A simple composition. Life at the moment it occurs.
The content.
A collection of visual compositions all shot at 24 frames-per-second. Why 24 fps? It’s the frame rate of features, and I want to create a cinematic look to each shot. Videos will last no longer than 60 seconds. I find an interesting shot out in the world, set up my camera, record it for 60 seconds—done.
The mission.
To capture everyday life from interesting angles and encourage the audience to pause for 60 seconds out of their day and enjoy life, think about the world in which we live, get lost in the image, and wonder at how beautiful and fleeting this all is.
